Top 5 Poker Pros with most contributions on FTP Academy

February 17, 2010 · Posted in Poker Strategy · Comment

Find out who are the most productive contributors of poker strategy content on Full Tilt Poker Academy!

I am not sure if you noticed it, but this is my third consecutive post on Full Tilt Poker Academy in a row.

The reason for this is quite obvious: Getting constant and solid poker education or training should be on top of the priory list for everyone, who wants to become long-term winning poker player or win more.

Since I assume you (as the regular reader of my blog) are one of these poker players who are constantly looking for ways to become better at poker, I want to make things easier for you by bringing you closer to the FTP Academy as it really is a great source of poker knowledge for beginners to (online) poker games as well as more experience players.

This time I write about top contributors of poker strategy content on the Academy. By contributors I mean Poker Pros and by content I mean things like video lessons, podcasts and video sessions (basically the way the poker strategy is presented to you on the academy).

Anyways, here are the top 5 Poker Pros with most contributions on FTP Academy:

Andy Bloch: 9 contributions

Andy Bloch has 9 contributions on FTP Academy. He is described as a math expert who came second the inaugural WSOP $50K HORSE event. Some of the things you can learn from Andy in the academy are mathematics in poker as well as on how to play Omaha, Razz and HORSE poker games.

Phil Gordon: 7 contributions

Phil Gordon is described as a poker broadcaster and author, who won WPT title as well and has up to date made 7 contributions to FTP Academy. Among the things he contributed are tips for beginners, game selection and guide to Sit & Go Tournaments.

Patrik Antonious: 6 contributions

Patrik Antonious is among the most famous poker players in the world. He is described as one of the best high-stakes cash game players in the world. He has 6 contributions on FTP Academy.

Some of those are about Limit and Pot-Limit Omaha and about how to extract the most cash out of nut hands like quads or straights. Definitely worth watching!

Chris Ferguson: 6 contributions

I am sure you know Chris Ferguson (if not else, you have read my blog posts about this player). Well, he has 6 contributions on FTP Academy up to date, which among other things include bankroll management, pre-flop play and Heads-up tourneys.

I am not familiar with Aaron Bartley from before, but he is a full-time online Pro, who also made it to the final table in the first WSOP Circuit event. You can learn from him about how to play middle stages of Sit & Go tournaments and about shootout poker tournaments as well.

As you can see, the things you can learn from just the top 5 contributors on FTP Academy is worth gold for itself! But there are many more professional poker players to learn about poker strategy from on Full Tilt Poker Academy.

About Professional Poker Players on FTP Academy

February 14, 2010 · Posted in Poker Challenge · Comment

Learning poker strategy from professional poker players on Full Tilt Poker Academy

As I have alredy pointed out in my previous post Online poker training with Pros from Full Tilt Poker Academy, there are 32 professional poker players, who share their poker knowledge and experience on Full Tilt Poker Academy!

The Poker Pros that »teach« online poker strategy on FTP Academy are all among the best at what they do (playing poker professionally obviously) and are either part of Team Full Tilt or part of FTP Pros.

To give you one proof of their poker expertise: Take a look at all those titles and big poker events that these players have won or been very close to winning.

For instance, you will find videos and podcasts on how to play NL Hold’em or Limit Omaha Hi-Lo from top online Pro poker player Jordan Morgan in there. He has won WSOP Circuit Event in 2007 and many other big online Multi-table Tournaments (MTT) on Full Tilt.

Or perhaps you will be more interested in poker lesson from Gus Hansen about how to control the poker table. Gus Hansen has been World Poker Tour (WPT) champion for three times up to date.

The above mentioned Poker Pros are only 2 out of 32 total Pros that give advice on how to improve your game and become a winning poker player or earn more money. There are many more just as good (or even better) Pros that you can learn from.

They can help you out with any aspect (pre-flop or post-flop game, bankroll management, starting hands, position, betting) or form of poker (NL Texas Holdem, Pot limit Omaha). But basically, what you will learn on FTP Academy really depends on you.

Think about which element of your poker game you want to improve. What makes you lose money? What is your weakness? Is Heads-up play your weakness? What are your goals?

Take time and think for a minute or two what part of your poker strategy should you improve or want to learn more about it. When you have the necessary anwsers, log in to the FTP Academy (or make an account first at Full Tilt Poker in case you do not have one yet) and find players who has published tutorials or lessons on that subject.

When you find the desired content, watch it and compare everything that is being said with what you have learned or experienced so far about the subject. Think about how you will incorporate your newly gained knowledge in your current poker game the next time you will play poker online or live.

That is it! Now go to FTP Academy and start improving your poker strategy today so you can profit from it tomorow!

In case you would like to add something, please leave it in comments below. Thanks and good luck at the poker tables!
