Advice from Professional Poker Player: Adam Noone
You should take poker seriously if your goal is to profit from playing online poker games!
There was a new article published on Full Tilt Poker a couple of days ago that all those playing online poker with the goal of turning profit or becoming professional poker player will want to pay attention to.
The author of the article, Adam Noone is a poker player from England who first saw poker on Television and then turned Professional after building his bankroll up by playing small stakes Sit & Go online poker tournaments.
He had some big winnings already such as finishing 209th in the World Series of Poker Main Event 2007 and winning the Full Tilt Poker Million Pound Challenge in London (that happened in September of 2008).
Today, he is one of the Full Tilt Poker Pros. It is interesting how he got the ticket for the Full Tilt Poker Million Pound Challenge poker tournament. He qualified online at Full Tilt Poker and after winning it went on to play FTP Pros Heads Up for £1 000 000!
In order to win those £1 000 000, he had to beat 3 Full Tilt Pros: Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson and Roland de Wolfe. After winning agains Ivey and Ferguson, he was only 1 match away from getting that million. Unfortunately for him, he lost the heads up match against Roland and had to settle for £200 000.
Anyways, to get back to the advice about poker from Adam Noone.
Basically, what you will find in the article is an explanation of the difference between someone who is playing (online) poker for fun or entertainment and someone who is playing poker in order to earn money (either as a professional or as seasoned poker player).

In general, Adam Noone says in case your goal is to profit from (online) poker games (meaning to become professional poker player) you should treat poker as a business. Why business?
Well, because businesses regularly check and review their performance and discuss new tactics and strategies! Same should be said for Professional poker players: Reviewing and implementing new strategies is important and should be performed regularly.

Other ways to qualify for the Main Event of the WSOP 2010 online at Full Tilt Poker
In my previous post I was talking about WSOP 2010 online qualifiers and satelites and how you can get a Main event seat for only $1 (or even less if you satellite your way into The $1 Main Event Seat tournament or use FTP points instead).

While I am writing this, 37 WSOP 2010 Main Event Seats have already been won on Full Tilt online poker room. Since the first $1 Main Event online poker tournament starts this Sunday (4th of April 2010), these 37 Main Event tickets were gained by one of the following ways:
Daily Shootout online poker tournaments
One possible way to get a $12K Main Event package online is to play online poker tournaments called Daily Shootouts.
Basically, from 24th of March until 27th of June you have two (2) chances every day to win an WSOP 2010 Main Event Entry! These tournaments start every day at 15:30 ET (20:30 GMT) and 21:30 ET (02:30 GMT) and the maximum number of entrants into the Daily Shootout tournament is 81 players.
You should also be aware that ONLY ONE (1) player (the winner) gets an entry for the Main event. Direct buyin for the Daily Shootout is $200 + $16, but you can also play satelites for $1 or 50 FTP points and get the ticket for this tournament in this way.
In case you are interested in the type of poker games played, it is No-limit Texas Holdem.
150 Seat Main Event Guarantee online poker tournament
The 150 Seat Main Event Guarantee online poker tournament is another way of how to qualify for the WSOP Main Event at Full Tilt Poker.
This tournament is really huge so to speak. There will be atleast 150 Main Event seats given away (around $1.8 million in total prize pool that is)!
This tournament will take place on June 20th at 18:00 ET (23:00 GMT) and you can buyin directly for $600 or play online satelites and qualifiers to get yourself a ticket.
The lowest buyin for the qualifiers is $1 or 50 FTPs, but some of them have much higher buyin. For instance, there was a 150 Seat Main Event Guarantee satellite tournament yesterday that had a buyin of $69 + $6.

Bonus money for the winner of WSOP 2010
I forgot to mention one thing to you in my previous blog post: In case you win the WSOP 2010 Main Event and you managed to get a ticket through Full Tilt Poker, they will also give you additional $10,000,000 on on top of your first-place prize money!
