Poker bankroll management rules

Follow these poker bankroll management rules and maintain a healthy poker bankroll:

  • Never buy into a cash game or Sit & Go tournament with more than 5 percent (%) of your total bankroll (Exception for the lowest limits: You are allowed to buy in into any poker game with a buyin of $2.5 or lesss),
  • do not buy into a multi-table tournament for more than 2 percet (%) of your total bankroll, but you are allowed to buy into any poker tournament that costs $1 or less,
  • if at any time during a poker cash game session, the money on the table represents more than 10 percent (%) of your total bankroll, you have to leave the table when the blinds reach you.

This aproach to poker bankroll management will ensure you to play online those poker games that you can afford to play.

It is impossible for you to get broke, since you have no choice but move down to lower poker limits, if you hit a big losing streak. When your bankroll gets bigger again, you simply move up the stakes again.

Have the motivation and discipline to stick to these poker bankroll management rules no mather what. It took Chris Ferguson more than one year to get from 0 to $10k, but he did it, thanks to this poker bankroll management.

You can do it as well! I recommend doing it on Full Tilt Poker online poker room!

It is very important that you manage your bankroll well. You have to make sure that you don't play over your head by playing on stakes that your bankroll cannot support. If you do this then you will not have the money available in your bankroll to recover from slumps.online bingo software
  • Hey zephyrzerp! Well according to ferguson's bankroll management policy, with 10$ bankroll "you are allowed to buy into any poker tournament that costs $1 or less" until that $1 becomes less then 2% of your total bankroll.

If my math is correct, then that means you should only be playing MTT tournaments that cost $1 or less until you increase your bankroll above $50. When you reach $100, you can increase the buyin to $2 max.

Hope it helps and good luck at building your poker bankroll!
