Find out who are the most productive contributors of poker strategy content on Full Tilt Poker Academy!

I am not sure if you noticed it, but this is my third consecutive post on Full Tilt Poker Academy in a row.

The reason for this is quite obvious: Getting constant and solid poker education or training should be on top of the priory list for everyone, who wants to become long-term winning poker player or win more.

Since I assume you (as the regular reader of my blog) are one of these poker players who are constantly looking for ways to become better at poker, I want to make things easier for you by bringing you closer to the FTP Academy as it really is a great source of poker knowledge for beginners to (online) poker games as well as more experience players.

This time I write about top contributors of poker strategy content on the Academy. By contributors I mean Poker Pros and by content I mean things like video lessons, podcasts and video sessions (basically the way the poker strategy is presented to you on the academy).

Anyways, here are the top 5 Poker Pros with most contributions on FTP Academy:

Andy Bloch: 9 contributions

Andy Bloch has 9 contributions on FTP Academy. He is described as a math expert who came second the inaugural WSOP $50K HORSE event. Some of the things you can learn from Andy in the academy are mathematics in poker as well as on how to play Omaha, Razz and HORSE poker games.

I am sure you know Chris Ferguson (if not else, you have read my blog posts about this player). Well, he has 6 contributions on FTP Academy up to date, which among other things include bankroll management, pre-flop play and Heads-up tourneys.

I am not familiar with Aaron Bartley from before, but he is a full-time online Pro, who also made it to the final table in the first WSOP Circuit event. You can learn from him about how to play middle stages of Sit & Go tournaments and about shootout poker tournaments as well.

As you can see, the things you can learn from just the top 5 contributors on FTP Academy is worth gold for itself! But there are many more professional poker players to learn about poker strategy from on Full Tilt Poker Academy.

Take advantage of the Online Poker Training with the Pros from Full Tilt Poker Academy!

One very important aspect of poker is education. In order to win (more) in playing online or live poker cash games or tournaments, it is important for you to keep working on and improving your poker skills. That is why I want to encourage you to take advantage of the online poker lessons and trainings available at Full Tilt Poker Academy.

The imporance of good poker training or education just cant be emphasised enough. As you know, poker is a game of skill, which simply means the following thing:

Winning poker players wins money from losing players in the long run. Yes, losing players can still get lucky in the short run, but that luck even itself out eventually. When that happens, losing players are left only with their bad decisions and leaks in their poker game.

Losing player’s game is not profitable and the longer they play, more money they lose to winning players. These winning players make less mistakes, which is especially important in times when lady luck turns her back on them. In those times, winning players will lose much less money than weaker players.

Your primary goal in poker should therefore be to become one of the winning poker players. And this is exactly where poker education (such as training videos or audio poker books for example) comes handy:

It helps you become a winning poker player (or in case you already are a winning player: it helps you win more)!

Poker training is especially crucial in case you are just starting out with online or live poker games (like No-limit Texas Hold’em for example)! Same goes in case you are already playing poker for some time now, but are losing money in the long term.

This is simply because education is the only way you will become a winning poker player or get from losing to winning player. That is why I suggest you to visit Full Tilt Poker Academy and start working on your game as soon as possible!

You can learn anything from NL Texas Holdem to Omaha poker games from Thirty-two (32) different professional poker players, who share their winning poker strategies and tactics with you in forms of videos and podcasts!

Gus Hansen’s Poker Book: Every Hand Revealed

December 8, 2009 · Posted in Poker Strategy · Comment

I am sure you know who Gus Hansen, the Professional Poker player, is. The main focus of this blog post is therefore not about the Great Dane himself, but rather his Poker Book titled Every Hand Revealed that was first published in May 2008.

What you will find in this 370 pages long book (the only one written by this poker player up to date) is pretty much obvious from the title. To sum it up, it is the analysis of more than 300 hands that Gus played during the Aussie Millions in 2007.

The thing that makes this book especially interesting and valuable is the fact that Hansen explains to you in details the thinking and the logic behind his decision making process, which eventually lead him to become winner of the above mentioned live NL Texas Holdem Tournament.

For instance, you will find out why he bluffed certain hands and why he called large (almost uncallable) bets in other spots. Among other things, the mathematical aspects of poker and pot odds made on real examples are also discussed in this book through various different hands he played. Same goes for his competition: How he sees and treats other poker players behind his table.

Besides enormous amount of poker knowledge that is hidden in this poker book, there is another thing that makes it unique: The writting style itself! It is written in a fun and easy to understand way, even for the beginners.

Gus Hansen’s poker book Every Hand Revealed is not only worth reading, but is something that every poker player/fan should have in his library of poker books! In case you do not have it yet, you can click here to buy it on Amazon.

With that said, lets now look at the final hand from the Aussie Millions 2007 Main Event that made Gus the winner of this tournament and earned him $1.2 million prize award:

If you have already read it, then please tell us what you think about it in the comments below! Until next time, have fun and see you around!
