What you will see is Eric Liu (high limit cash game specialist and poker instructor) playing in online high stakes No-limit Texas Holdem short-handed (SH) cash games with blinds of $5/$10 plus Ante.
Of course, the whole cards of Eric Liu is not the only reason why you should watch the 20 minutes long video. He is also giving valuable insights into the overall action that is going on at the table by commenting the action at the tables, the opponents he is playing and the decisions he is making.
In case you like agressive style of poker (or would like to learn how to play agressive NL Holdem), then you have one more reason to watch and learn from Eric Liu as he is the master of agressiveness when it comes to poker I would say!
I have watched him play in one of the TV Poker shows (I think it was European cash game, where the WSOP Main Event 2008 Champion Peter Eastgate was playing as well) and I instantly fell »in love« with his poker style.
It seems like he does not care what his hand is, but rather than that focuses his attention on reading his opponents and taking advantage of the position at the table. As you know, position is very important in NL Texas Holdem, so you might want to take notes about how he is dealing with it!
That is it, now go to Full Tilt Poker Academy and login (or make an account first). Then click on the Pros in the main navigation and find Eric Liu.
Once you find him, you will have no problem locating the video session about high stakes NL Texas Holdem SH cash games as he only made one video session so far! That is all for now, as always have fun and good luck at the poker tables!

How to beat Micro Stakes Online Sit & Go Poker Tournaments
Learn how to beat Micro Stakes 180-Seats Online Sit & Go Poker Tournaments by watching the Video below!
The video below will help those of you who want to learn how to beat Micro Stakes Online Sit and Go Poker Tournaments. Basically it is an analysis of the hands played by the poker player nicknamed as Androgyny from the 180-Seats Sit & Go NL Texas Holdem Tournament that took place on Full Tilt Poker.
These $2 buyin micro stakes Multi-Table Tournaments are pretty much standard on FTP and fill with players very quicky. I would definitely suggest you to try them out from time to time, if you are not playing them already ofcourse.
With that said, lets say something about this 46 minutes long video. The speaker doing the analysis is Fitzy. He goes through several hands that were played in this micro stakes tournament, giving some valuable insights into what the best decision in certain position is.
Perhaps you will not agree with all the moves he suggests (I would probably act differently in some spots), but in general I think his analysis is useful, especially if you are just beginning with Sit & Go Poker Tournaments.
It covers big pairs, flush draws, top pairs, playing from the blinds and some other quite common NL Texas Holdem situations. It also lets you see how other players are playing their hands, so it definitely will not hurt if you watch it.
Enough from me, here is the video:

Online Poker Tells
Online poker tells with the advice from WSOP Academy Instructor Mark Kroon
Since I was writting about Live Poker Tells in my previous post (You can check it out here: 10 Live Poker Tells by Mike Caro), it is time to say something about Online Poker Tells as well! To begin with, there are some fundamental differences between live poker and online poker, which further on implies the differences in getting and reading other player’s poker tells as well.
The most obvious difference between live poker and online poker regarding the tells is perhaps the fact, that online poker is not physically being played in the same room or place. Since you are not able to see other players faces and reactions, gaining additional information about your opponents based on various live poker tells (that I was talking about in my previous post) is therefore not possible.
Despite this »problem«, you can still read other player’s strengths and weaknesses by figuring out their online poker tells. The principle of online poker tells is pretty much the same as in live poker tells: In order to get information about how other players play poker, you have to pay attention to what they do and how they do it.
But instead focusing on physical signs that can help you figure out whether you are dealing with a very strong hand, you focus on other things, for instance:
- How fast or slow does your opponent acts with strong hands, weak hands, draws, missed draws,…?
- How much does a certain player bets with strong hands, weak hands, bluffs,…?
- Is your opponent using auto check/folding button, when he misses the flop?
Just as in live poker, every online poker player is different somehow, which means that his / her tells are different as well. Be careful when making up and following general or commonly know online poker tells, such as »checking and calling in a fast manner means that our online poker opponent is on a flush draw«.
Follow the general online poker tells only when you are sure that they really hold true for a certain poker player. You do this the best by playing a couple of thousands of hands with him and observing his actions and reactions.
Only then are you able to exploit that tell and benefit from it. Until then, focus all your attention to what your opponents do. Observe them constantly and you will get all the information you need!
To conclude this blog on online poker tells, take a look at the following video, where one of the WSOP Academy instructors, Mark “pokerH0″ Kroon, tells you about one possible online poker tell.
